Production Control / Purchasing Support

Lee Controls LLC is seeking to add a Production Control / Purchasing Support Specialist to assist our busy purchasing department. Individuals applying for this position MUST possess strong communication, data entry, and computer skills. Experience within a manufacturing environment is a plus. Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
o Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services. Reviews requisitions. Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery time.

o Able to analyze and interpret Material Requirements Planning Module.

o Maintain a vendor history file in which a set of select vendors is utilized.

o Co-ordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services for the production use.

o Prepare and issue purchase orders, for production materials and outside services.

o Determine method of procurement, such as direct purchase or bid requests.

o Reviews bid proposals and negotiate contract within budgetary limitations.

o Become proficient with the Purchase Module System and determine how to use this Module to improve information within the Purchasing function.

o Analyze order points, lead times, safety stock, product codes, and adjust as needed.

o Develop materials tracking procedure to insure that all materials are received correctly, on time and in the right quantities to support production.

o Become familiar with all Computer Modules that interrelate to Purchasing and Production.

o Provide aggressive follow-up and obtain Supplier Corrective Action when improvement is required.
o Assists in Purchase Order Receiving.

o Assumes other responsibilities as directed by executive management.
Specific Qualifications:
o Associate's Degree (A.A,); or three years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Computer literate with working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and ERP Systems ( Navision, Syteline) .
o Ability to type 55 words per minute.
o Experience in procuring materials for production.
o Strong ability to communicate and work well with vendors.
o Must be very self-motivated.
o Accurate data entry skills.
o Good documentation and record keeping
o Experience in issuing Purchase Orders.
o Ability to assist and train others.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
