A Fortune 500 energy company is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide expertise & guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of electrical engineering problems at the Brunswick Nuclear Plant in Southport, NC. This is an 8 month CONTRACT position, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates preferred, but per diem will be available for qualified candidates. Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear facility.
Responsibilities for the Electrical Engineer
Ensure accomplishment of business goals & objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities
Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, engineering changes, calculations and sketches
Requirements for the Electrical Engineer
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or a current PE License is required
5
years engineering experience in the nuclear industry with experience in digital hardware / software modifications
Working knowledge of digital upgrade specific licensing requirements and current 10CFR73.54 Cyber Security requirements preferred
Experience developing modification test plans a plus
Experience in the 10CFR50.59 with respect to designing modifications to a nuclear facility desired
