Planning, monitoring, and coordinating daily plant mechanical maintenance crew activities. This will include ensuring appropriate resources are assigned to perform preventive and corrective maintenance. Ensure compliance with all applicable plant technical specifications, procedures and safety rules. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to mechanics. Evaluate and document performance through the PDP process. Facilitate employee development, and training. Perform staffing as necessary. Perform Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor routine administrative functions. These include performance monitoring and reporting, budget development and tracking, Self-Evaluation Program oversight and guidance (including Corrective Action, Self-Assessment, Benchmarking, and Operating Experience utilization). Support and implement site initiatives in support of plant operations and business plans. Interface with other plant organizations to develop successful problem solving strategies and approaches. This includes resolution of employee concerns, review of plant procedures, and responds to Corrective Actions. Tour the plant and shop area daily, observing housekeeping and material conditions and work practices, providing feedback to mechanics. Participation in observations of miscellaneous plant activities, including back-shift and weekend inspections, participation in Emergency Response Organization, etc.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications - High School Diploma - Six to eight years of job related mechanical maintenance experience - Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and temporary work assignments at other Duke Energy nuclear facilities. - Experience in performance monitoring and reporting, budget development and tracking, Self-Evaluation Program oversight and guidance (including Corrective Action, Self-Assessment, Benchmarking, and Operating Experience utilization). - Qualify as Damage Control Team Leader to support required Emergency Preparedness responsibilities. Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree from a two year college or technical school - Previous supervisory experience - Be proficient in the use of Passport, Progress Reporter - Be proficient in the use of computer programs, such as Word Processing and Excel Job: GenerationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
