A Fortune 500 energy company is currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for electrical engineering changes (modifications) at the Brunswick Nuclear Plant in Southport, NC. This is a CONTRACT position scheduled to last 10 months, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates preferred, but per diem will be available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities for the Electrical Engineer
Develop an Electrical Engineering Change
Oversee the full development of an outsourced modification
Potential project scope includes Main Generator Exciter Rectifier Bank upgrade from water cooled system to air cooled system, Electrical Transfer Switch replacement, MCC replacements, Enhanced Relaying to provide single phase voltage protection for high voltage system and Crane upgrades
Requirements for the Electrical Engineer

years experience in nuclear design engineering
Become qualified as an Electrical Engineer, Design Engineer, Design Verification and Qualified Safety Reviewer (50.59)
